Anguron is a city built wholly underground in the center of the Falor Plateau. The main feature of Anguron is its mage school: one of two mage schools in the Bellmorn region, and perhaps the more esoteric of the two. Anguron also boasts many important ruins, a major teleport hub for all of Falnorian, and a river of lava that wends throughout the city. There are many tunnels that lead to and from the city much like roads – as well tunnels that run above and beneath it. It is wracked by occasional earthquakes, collapses, and lava springs; as well as the many other dangers that come from being underground.

History of Location
Anguron is built in the ruins of an ancient dwarven city; long ago, in the 1st Era, it was a dwarven holy city build around a temple to the Cunning God. The city was abandoned in the Fall, and taken over by the Dark Council soon thereafter; it would become their stronghold in Falnorian in the 2nd Era. During this time, the Falor Plateau teemed with undead and worse; the entire interior of the plateau was shielded from divine vision or interference, and was one of the most dangerous places in the known world. The Dark Council was overthrown at the beginning of the 3rd Era, and the plateau and stronghold patiently cleaned out and turned into a city; the Council’s center became the Anguron Mage School, and the city was built in the streets of the city ruins surrounding it.

Valerian is slender and presents a very tidy appearance; his hair is always tied neatly back with a ribbon, and his clothes are well-tailored. His skin has turned sallow with many years underground, and contrasts markedly with darker hair, eyes, and clothes. He wears carries a gracefully-curved ninjatu that is always sheathed in silver.
Rumors: Valerian is descended from a non-inheriting line of a noble family, who is now working for the household of a coronate family – a very unusual choice. He is known to give the mage school a wide berth, and rumors are that he disapproves of the way it operates.
