Come one, come all – and welcome to the 12th season of Falnorian! With the beginning of a new season come all sorts of updates – story, maps, rules, and more. Here is a collection of all the changes in store for this upcoming season; with more to come over the course of this month.
Timejump Writeup & New Maps
This timejump was the longest in Falnorian yet at 638 years long! The in-game date is now 215.3.3 (Year 215, Third Age, Third Era). This year’s timejump writeup takes the form of an in-game history document written by Lady Lin Mordsen – it can be found here (link) and on the resources page. For those who don’t want to read though the full writeup, I’ll be adding a timeline outlining the major events of the jump soon.
Among the many changes of this year’s timejump are big changes to the map. Falnorian has grown as explorers have ventured south into the rainforest, and many other features of the landscape have come and gone; new cities and towns have been built, and many nations have merged and their borders shifted. The new geographic (link) & political (link) maps are available on the Resources page, as well as below.

Location Information
With a new season comes new stories as leagues change their play locations in the game world. New locations will be announced on the first day of each league; pages for each league will be updated shortly after each announcement with a local map and more detailed information about the place the league is playing out of. Chronicles threads will be added for each league as well!

Rules Updates & New Rulebook
Rules updates from this year’s rules day can be found in a post here (link). It contains a list of mechanics and rules changes to the game that we are implementing for the upcoming year.
A new draft of the rulebook is in the works for later this month – look for a new version around the end of September!
Equipment Builds
This summer totaled three builds for new equipment and gear – many thanks to the players who helped craft it all! Below is our haul from the final build of the summer: thirty new swords, in addition to the bounty of arrows, sashes, and other soft physreps we made earlier this summer.

Keep a weather eye for more updates as the season moves along! We’re due for a significant website update sometime this year, and I hope to add more resources and writeups about the game world as it is now across the season.
