Drowning: When you enter water, you immediately drop and take 1 dmg every 20 count; while in the water, you are constantly being interrupted for the purpose of counts. If you are unable to go unconscious (ie, resistance to unconsciousness), you cannot move and still take the damage and interruptions; skills that rely on being out of range of danger (ie, Brace, Duel, etc) cannot be performed while drowning.
Fear & Actions: While feared, your highest priority is moving away from firstly the source of the fear and secondly combat. You can defend yourself and use movement abilities, passives, and reactions; but cannot initiate actions or deal damage.
Flails: The sock part of a flail does not interact with deflections; the haft does.
Injuries: Injuries are a type of damage that impacts body parts rather than dealing HP dmg; Hack, Impale, Slay and Disembowel are currently classified as injuries. Injuries cannot be modified by damage amounts (ie, “5 Hack”) and thus cannot be boosted or deboosted; but can be prevented via a skill that prevents damage. If you cannot deal damage, you cannot inflict an injury; injuries are only healable with magical healing and cannot be healed with first aid or awaken.
Monstrous Strength: Creatures that have Monstrous Strength can boost UB dmg.
Poison: Poison applies a called effect; until the poison is cleansed, that effect is ongoing and does not clear between encounters or missions. Poison without a called modifier (“standard poison”) deals a single -1 counter on HP; multiple instances of poison increase the -1 counters.
Reach: Is now a stationary, continuous invoke until damage is dealt.
Size 8+ Creatures: Creatures Size 8+ will be represented with two size sashes crossing over the chest. Creatures this large have Reach, can walk through shallow water at a rate of a 5c per step, and walk over low walls.
Spellturning: Spellturned spells are still active after being turned; if they hit another person (including yourself) after being turned, they still inflict their effect.
Stun Ray: Stun Ray is a sensory stun, not a mental effect.
The following are additional skills discussed during rules day.
Skills Pending Changes: Elemental Damage Types, Lifeline, Vitals Hack
Skills Discussed But Not Changed: Class Bumps (HP, Mana, & Skills), Elemental Damage, Magelore, Rallying Cry, Skill Share,
