Adra was assailed by a hurricane today; adventurers spent their day fighting through the weather to handle those threats brought in by the hurricane’s presence. First, they attempted to flush a sea serpent out of town before it could build a lair in town; but were defeated. They then tried to make their way to protect weather mages working a ritual to shield Adra from the hurricane, but were unable to fight past the weather. They they returned to the sea serpent, and this time lured it out of its lair-in-progress and led it back out into the ocean.

21st of Tenthmoon, Year 193.1.3
Adventurers worked to rebuild Adra in the wake of the hurricane. They made their way to the city archives and helped clean out and reorganize the records there, with the hope that finding the maps of city streets and buildings would help the rebuilding effort go faster. With that done, they took a ship out to a ship waving a white flag and pursued by a Celemrion vessel; upon intercept, they discovered that the person aboard was a Gildmark diplomat with news that Celemrion – previously an ally of Gildmark – was about to declare war on them with no known motive or reason. They returned with the news and the diplomat, and the city immediately began preparations for war.

All Hallows brought many ghosts in on the wind today. An entrance to some ruins beneath the city of Adra were discovered in cleaning up the storm rubble, and adventurers went to explore this: there they found the ruins of a temple to the Olden Gods, with another passage leading somewhere down beneath it. They also went to the docks to try to rid them of the strange sea creatures that had taken over them: small creatures that took the forms of sea anemones, sea stars, small crabs, or slugs and seemed to reproduce very quickly. They took some of the creatures back to Adra for studying on a future date.

Adventurers spent this day preparing the city for possible invasion by Celemrion in the coming days. First, they fortified the coastline to prevent Celemrion ships from landing and troops from making their way up the beach; they not only protected the builders but assisted with their own carpenters, and ensured the coast was well-fortified. Afterwards, they trained new recruits to the Gildmark military to help them gain some basic fighting skills.

18th of Eleventhmoon, Year 193.1.3
Adventurers first made their way to an inn south of the city where incoming Gildmark soldiers were expected to move through; they cleared out a group of gnomes who were pretending to be animals and taken over the inn, then returned to the city to explore a section of cliffside along the coast that had spontaneously changed color. They discovered a sea-cave beneath it and were brought there by a group of dolphins they had helped previously, and were greeted at the cave entrance by someone who appeared to be one of their innkeepers but turned out to be an impostor. The impostor fled deeper into the sea cave, and the party returned to Adra to check on their real innkeeper.
